Member Care

We feel that our family’s role in the renewed Pacific Islander missionary movement is to build community and member care in a culturally relevant Pacific way, providing pastoral and logistical support for these Islanders, being an aunty and uncle to them while they are serving away from home. This can’t be done from the Islands as this is too far away and hence the planned relocation to SE Asia which is very central to the 10/40 window and beyond and sort of the halfway point between the Pacific and the frontier mission locations. Much of this will happen through online communication such as video calls, but nothing beats in person encounters and therefore being based in a central location from where we can do member care visits to the locations where they are serving is key. Our desire is for our family’s home to become a place of hospitality and care, a meeting place for when they travel through, come for visa runs, need a break from the frontiers, but can’t make it all the way back to the Islands.
